Appearance of Hair Loss Pre-Care

  1. All fair skin types will experience more fading, redness and swelling than darker skin types, and may require more treatment to achieve the color and shape desire.
  2. It is recommended to take two Tylenol (pain killers) an hour before your appointment, they will help you to level down the sensitivity of your skin. Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Advil and Ibuprofen.
  3. Do not drink caffeine, alcohol, power supplements or take fish oil 24 hours prior the procedure.
  4. Avoid the sun and tanning beds for a least two weeks prior to your procedure.
  5. Based on your consultation, your suggestions, and your skin tone, you and I as a team will determine the color of the hair growth look

  2. The scalp will feel swollen and tender for a few days following the procedure.
  3. After the procedure on your hair loss area, you may apply an ice pack for 5 minutes every 3 to 4 hours for the next 48 hours. DO NOT APPLY THE ICE PACK BY THE THIRD DAY - IT WILL JUST RUIN YOUR PARAMEDIC REPIGMENTATION.
  4. Be aware that the color of treated area will lighten significantly after the 4th day.
  5. It is very important to clean and apply aftercare ointment on your scalp as directed in the instruction of “First Week of Healing” for the first 4 days after treatment. Our hair produces naturals oils and retains impurities from the environment that can be the source for an infection.
  6. You will notice that on the second or third day post procedure, your scalp will start of slough off the pigment and scab will be formed. Do not pick at your scalp - allow your skin to slough off the pigment naturally. By the day 5th or 6th day, the sloughing is complete. Your scalp at that time will be quite light in color.
  7. After the third week your scalp skin will became more colorful, and by the 4th week you will see the permanent shade you have been patiently waiting for.
  8. Stay out of the sun light for 6 weeks, as it will quickly fade the color of your paramedic repigmentation.
  9. Schedule your follow up or touch up appointment 4 to 8 weeks following your initial procedure. After this period, the fee for the touch up (normally $70) will increase to $150.
  10. Every two years you should come for a color boost. You will go through the same process - first you will come for your paramedic repigmentation procedure and 30 days later for the touch up.
